Registration

Registration for the Global District Energy Days opens the door to a week of intensive dialogue across the European heating and cooling sector. The event, held in Helsinki, brings together utility leaders, policymakers, researchers, and technology providers under one roof. Participants are invited to explore how district heating and cooling networks are evolving to meet the demands of tomorrow, from innovative technological design to commercial resource assessment. The programme is structured to encourage lively exchange, with dedicated sessions on market policy developments and practical case studies that showcase what is already working in cities across Europe and beyond.

The congress programme is built around the theme of uniting, innovating, and experiencing the future of district energy. Attendees will find a rich schedule that blends plenary discussions with focused technical tracks, giving equal weight to strategic vision and hands-on problem solving. A particular highlight is the opportunity to discuss the next steps for district heating and cooling with those who are actively shaping the sector. From technical tours to expert-led training sessions, every element of the programme is designed to help participants leave with fresh ideas, new connections, and a clearer sense of where the industry is heading.

Beyond the conference hall, the event offers a range of practical arrangements to make participation smooth and enjoyable. The venue is easily accessible within Helsinki, and the organisers have coordinated with official travel partners and local hotels to accommodate delegates from around the world. Registration covers access to all congress sessions, exhibition areas, and selected social functions, with tickets for certain events available on a first-come, first-served basis. The team behind the event is on hand to answer queries about logistics, visas, and any other practical matters well ahead of the September dates.

The exhibition floor is a central part of the Global District Energy Days, bringing together a broad range of suppliers and service providers from across the heating and cooling value chain. Exhibitors showcase the latest equipment, digital solutions, and consultancy services, offering visitors a chance to compare options and arrange follow-up meetings on the spot. For companies considering participation, the organisers provide a clear set of terms and conditions, along with a practical exhibitor manual that covers stand design, logistics, and promotional opportunities. The list of exhibitors is published in advance, allowing attendees to plan their visits efficiently and make the most of their time on the floor.

A dedicated team manages all registration-related matters, from early-bird deadlines to on-site assistance. The organisers encourage participants to register well in advance to secure their place in the programme and to take advantage of the full range of networking opportunities. Whether you are a long-time player in the district energy field or new to the sector, the Global District Energy Days offers a welcoming environment for building relationships and exchanging knowledge. The event is supported by a network of partners and sponsors whose commitment helps ensure a professional, well-organised experience for every delegate who joins the conversation in Helsinki.

The 2018 Global District Energy Days welcomed participants from all over the world. The event was open to any interested individual, party or organisation, expert and interested professional from the district heating and cooling sector.
