Registration Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions governed participation and registration for the 2018 Global District Energy Days, held 25–27 September 2018 in Helsinki, Finland. Registration was managed by Adato Energia Oy on behalf of the organisers, Euroheat & Power aisbl and Finnish Energy.

1. Registration Scope

Registration was open to any interested individual, party, organisation, expert, or policymaker. Participants registered under one of two categories:

  • Member rate — applicable to members of EHP/DHC+ or Finnish Energy.
  • Non-member rate — applicable to all other participants.

2. Deadlines and Fees

Early-bird and standard registration rates applied. Specific fee amounts and deadline dates were published on the Registration and Deadline and Fees pages. All fees were quoted in euros and subject to applicable VAT.

3. Payment

Full payment was required to confirm registration. Invoices were issued by Adato Energia Oy upon submission of the registration form. Payment was to be settled by bank transfer within the timeframe specified on the invoice.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation requests were required in writing to the registration contact. Refund eligibility depended on the timing of cancellation relative to the event date. Substitutions of registered delegates were generally permitted, subject to written notification to the organisers.

5. Liability

The organisers were not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property during the event. Participants were responsible for arranging their own travel and medical insurance. The organisers reserved the right to amend the programme, venue, or schedule if circumstances required.

6. Data Protection

Personal data collected during registration was processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and used solely for purposes related to the organisation of the 2018 Global District Energy Days. For further details, refer to the Euroheat & Power legal page.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions were governed by Finnish law. Any disputes arising were subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
